WIAL Action Learning Workshops Commence in the U.K.

November 2010

WIAL (World Institute of Action Learning) held their first U.K. based workshops at Dorney Lake, Eton College, Windsor, from the 19-21st of October 2010. Workshop participants came from the U.K. and abroad to obtain the Action Learning Foundation award after the completion of interactive Action Learning scenarios and taught subject matter administered by Professor Michael J. Marquardt (WIAL co-founder), and Shannon Banks (World Leadership Development Consultant at Microsoft.)

As well as giving participants the opportunity to earn certification and participate in live Action Learning sessions, the Action Learning Foundations program enabled participants to become familiar with the practical and theoretical applications of Action Learning, observe how Action Learning works, and an understanding of the value and role of the learning coach in an Action Learning session.  Participants who continued on to the third day of the program experienced the first day of CALC-1 (Certification for Action Learning Coaches), and following sessions taking place on the 21-26th March 2011 will be trained as full Action Learning Coaches upon the completion of the CALC-1 and CALC-2 programs.
