Translating strategy into action, Dubai
7th - 10th October 2009The focus was on “translating strategy into action” when Kentz Executive Diploma in Leadership & Management (EDipLM) Set 5 met for the Essentials of Management workshop in Dubai, October 7-10, 2009. Delegates participated from Australia, Ireland, Malaysia, the Middle East, South Africa and Trinidad.

The action learning set are pictured above, together with Takis Karallis (Kentz Group HR Director), Donal O’Neill (Kentz Group Talent Development Manager) and Eric Sandelands (of CLC, chairing the sessions for IMCA).
Kentz Group has been growing significantly in recent years, transforming itself to meet new global challenges and opportunities. Following the workshop, each associate is charged with putting one element of strategy into action, supported by a senior level corporate sponsor and a cross-functional international team.

Throughout the workshop delegates worked on live issues in small, international teams.

James Cassin, Group QA/QC & HSE Manager presented Kentz quality management philosophy and practice together with systems integration.

Dr Hugh O’Donnell (Kentz CEO) presented Kentz global strategic vision and reality and challenged each delegate to identify where they could best facilitate action.

Takis Karallis, Kentz Group HR Director led an electrifying session on group HR strategy.

Donal O’Neill, Kentz Group Talent Development Manager explained how the global roll-out of HR systems underpins strategic change.
