Skills Enhancement Courses
7th June - 8th June 2008Kentz roll-out of Skills Enhancement Courses (SECs) began with the delivery of the Communication Skills course at the Eurovillage centre, Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia June 7 & 8, 2008 organized by Michael Pyers, Regional Human Resources Manager. The majority of courses have been developed for Kentz, and will be delivered, by Corporate Learning Consultants Ltd with Kentz Group HR.

All of the SECs are active learning events in which key concepts are introduced, discussed then applied to live work issues. Participants develop skills and craft strategies directly relevant to them and the challenges they face.
The Communication Skills SEC examined:
- Communications challenges;
- Managerial communications;
- Interpersonal communications processes;
- Overcoming communications challenges; and
- Personal communications action plans.
The accompanying workbook additionally contains a case study and specialist perspective.

A suite of SECs are now offered across the group developed by Takis Karallis (Group HR Director), James Cassin (Group QA & HSE Manager), Donal O’Neill (Group HR Manager) and Eric Sandelands with expert input from Kentz management. Among the courses offered are:

- Behavioural events interviewing;
- Change management;
- Communications skills;
- Conflict & poor performance management;
- Dealing with difficult employees;
- Essential skills of leadership;
- Essential skills of management;
- Influence & assertiveness;
- Interpersonal effectiveness;
- Mentoring;
- Performance management;
- Team building;
- Time management;
- Train the trainer.
