For the junior engineers present the Frontline Management Skills workshop is an integral part of their Supervisory Management Development Programme (SMDP) of experiential learning. For the more senior participants the workshop formed part of an ongoing skills enhancement process.
Topics covered included modules on: introduction to management; becoming a manager; effective supervision; developing work priorities; creating working relationships; managing conflict at work; effective communication; and understanding Kentz management information.
Also in this series of workshops is the Kentz Functional Development workshop and Frontline Leadership Skills workshop. A comprehensive range of Skills Enhancement Courses are additionally being offered across the Kentz group.

Small group exercises and discussions were a feature.

Dr Eric Sandelands facilitated the workshop in association with Donal O’Neill (Kentz Group HR Manager) and Takis Karallis (Kentz Group HR Director), not pictured.

Young engineers were able to share work experiences with more experienced colleagues.
Grateful thanks go to Hayley Barker and her team for on the ground organization and James Cassin (Group Quality & HSE Manager) for reviewing and enhancing workshop materials.
