Business Premises - The old Coach House

Essentials of Leadership, Bahrain

A four-day Essentials of Leadership workshop, part of the in-company Executive Diploma in Leadership & Management programme, was held at the Diplomat Hotel, Bahrain, February 18 – 21, 2009. The programme is offered to managers within Kentz Engineers & Constructors identified as having the potential to occupy senior positions. It is facilitated by Corporate Learning Consultants Ltd on behalf of IMCA.

Action learning group discussions

Pictured above and later are group discussions – action learning sets focusing on live corporate issues. On the programme were representatives of the company from Australia, Canada, the Middle East, Russia and South Africa.

Throughout the four days the participants were asked to consider the question “What makes you work following?” Leadership and strategic management themes explored included:

  • Leadership Motivation and Change;
  • Team Building;
  • Strategic Leadership;
  • Stakeholder Relationships;
  • Systems Thinking;
  • Business Environment;
  • Leadership Styles; and
  • Coaching/Leader as Coach.
