The second day of CALC1 plus the CALC2 workshop were conducted by Prof. Michael Marquardt, WIAL President and Professor of Human Resource Development and International Affairs as well as Program Director of Overseas Programs at George Washington University based in Washington D.C.

Those completing CALC2 started the certification process in October 2010 and returned after a practice break. Following this their final workshop they submit a reflective paper exploring their experience of coaching groups of action learners as they explore and resolve problems.

As organizations face new and increasing pressures, action learning is more relevant than ever as an effective solution for solving complex problems and building strong working teams. All three workshops focused on building coaching skills while enabling live, urgent problems to be explored, and leadership skills to be advanced in each participant.

WIAL-UK’s next workshops will also be held at the Dorney Lake centre with Foundations (Oct 24 & 25, 2011), CALC1 (Oct 26 & 27, 2011) and CALC2 (Oct 28 & 29, 2011). It should be noted that a practice break is required.

Those wishing to complete the full certification often complete it in two three-day blocks, which for October 2011 starters would enable the workshops to be completed with a second stage in April 2012.
