MBA International Business Seminar, Dubai

7th March 2010

An International Business Seminar was held for participants on the Kentz Group in-company International Action Learning MBA at the Holiday Inn Al-Barsha, Dubai, March 7-9, 2010. The MBA is delivered and awarded by Business School Netherlands. The seminar was designed and facilitated by Dr Eric Sandelands of Corporate Learning Consultants Ltd.

The seminar combined discussion of projects and research direction with seminars addressing a number of international business themes.

The highlight was two seminars led by Kentz CEO Dr Hugh O’Donnell encompassing:

  • Kentz Global Strategy – strategic direction and the implementation of strategic change;
  • Connecting Strategy to Learning – determining dissertation and MBA assignment topics.

An informal evening was hosted at Barista where participants could talk in formally to Hugh, J. C. Walsh, and representatives of Kentz partner Global Engineering Systems based in Dubai.

Each MBA participant drives a live strategic project for Kentz supported by a senior executive as corporate sponsor. Research themes address:

  • The development of service framework agreements;
  • The development of Kentz business in the Caribbean;
  • The business plan for Australasia and South East Asia;
  • A values-based approach to developing the healthcare market.
