Leading rapid growth workshop and process, Midrand, South Africa

30th January 2012

CLC designed and delivered two Leading Rapid Growth workshops at the Protea Midrand Hotel, Gauteng, South Africa for Kentz (Pty) Ltd on January 30th and 31st, 2012. The workshops were led by Stephen Moss (Specialist Consultant: Organizational Change) and Eric Sandelands (Director).

A series of interviews were conducted with a cross-section of the leadership team representing business unit leaders and functional department heads. From these key themes were identified and formed the basis for the workshop design and structure.

The elements of both workshops were:

  • Introduction and orientation;
  • Building on strong foundations;
  • Constructing our future together;
  • Leading into the future – leadership behaviours and personal commitments;
  • Review of learning and next actions.

All discussions and actions were captured by participants and the facilitators and formed the basis for a briefing of senior managers, followed by an action-oriented final report.

The workshops were interactive throughout, blending small group discussion and analysis with plenary sessions identifying issues and areas of agreement. Activities captured corporate stories and sought to reinforce the best of the organization’s culture while considering future scenarios and a high growth future.

Practical steps were identified to both achieve growth and be geared up to continue to consistently deliver an excellent service to clients.
