Emerald Academy Set 3 launch

The third action learning set of managers joined the successful Emerald Academy run by Corporate Learning Consultants Ltd for Emerald Publishing Group Ltd. The first workshop was held on January 23, 2008 at Emerald’s new corporate headquarters, Bingley, West Yorkshire, UK.

Managers participating in the six month certificate programme complete live projects in teams of three or four, together with an individual review of learning. All projects have a corporate sponsor (the client) and must bring value to the business. Issues being addressed as projects by participants are:

  • Increasing authorship from Africa;
  • Building a stakeholder relationship management system;
  • Capturing Emerald’s corporate story;
  • Gaining the environmental standard ISO 14001;
  • Promoting Emerald to the US Executive MBA market;
  • Managing the customer transition process.
