The third action learning academy set of Emerald Publishing Group Ltd graduated at the Victoria Hotel, Bradford, UK on September 1st, 2008.

Emerald’s founder Dr Keith Howard, pictured above, opened the proceedings, outlining the purpose of the Emerald Academy and its focus on action learning projects and the personal development of Emerald staff.

Each action learning set presented their project to the company’s directors and senior managers, showcasing the issues they had been addressing and the challenges ahead. Pictured above are the group charged with earning environmental accreditation for the company with their corporate sponsor (client) Eric Widdup and other advisers.

Prof. David Weir

Following the group presentations, Prof. David Weir, presented each successful associate with their certificate. The Emerald Academy Certificate programme provides a pathway onto the company’s corporate MA (International Business) provided by Leeds Metropolitan University. The programme is facilitated by Corporate Learning Consultants Ltd.
