The successful candidates graduated from the Emerald Academy Set 6 at Hollins Hall Country Hotel in West Yorkshire, UK on September 22, 2011.

The Emerald Academy is the flagship programme for international staff of Emerald Group Publishing Ltd. Emerald is the world’s leading scholarly publisher of journal and books covering business and management themes, as well as having a strong presence in other sectors.

On the Academy programme participants work in international teams to examine and resolve live corporate challenges. These projects were then presented to Board members and senior managers at the Graduation Day event together with outcomes from individual learning review papers.

Each group has a senior manager attached to them to act as “corporate client” and also a “Board sponsor” to ensure feasibility and alignment of projects with corporate objectives.

Bill Russell, a Director of Emerald Group Publishing and Academy Dean opened the proceedings and presentations were made by Dr Keith Howard, Emerald founder and retiring Academy Dean. The event was organized by Sarah Nalborcyk, Learning & Development Manager. The group sessions were facilitated by Dr Eric Sandelands, Director, Corporate Learning Consultants Ltd.
