Engineering Higher National Certificates

CLC currently offers HNC courses by distance learning in:

  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Instrumentation and Control Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering

The principal entry requirement for a HNC course is that our tutors are satisfied you can be expected to benefit from the course and have a realistic expectation of successfully completing it. However, under normal circumstances, we would look for evidence of study at an appropriate precursor grade.

In addition, we will make every effort to take relevant previous experience and appropriate alternative qualifications into account and, if your existing experience and qualifications don’t meet our entry requirements, it may be possible to bridge from your present level to the necessary HNC entrance level using modules from our range of bridging courses.
